Singapore, 23 July 2012 - Registration is now open for the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2012, taking place from October 22 to 25 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore. Registration is open online at www.siew.gov.sg. Early registration discounts of up to SGD 350 are available for a limited period only.
This year, SIEW adopts the theme "Shaping a New Energy Landscape", that highlights the need to re-think policies and approaches to ensure long-term energy sustainability. This is set against the backdrop of rapidly changing energy dynamics that is driving government and private sector collaboration to achieve market-relevant solutions to ensure energy security.
SIEW 2012 includes leading conferences & exhibitions, roundtables and networking receptions allowing delegates to discuss energy sector developments, gather information and establish strategic business relationships. Highlights from the Week include:
- The Singapore Energy Lecture and Singapore Energy Summit will provide first-hand insights into critical energy issues from confirmed speakers including Maria van der Hoeven, Executive Director, International Energy Agency and Ruth Cairnie, Executive Vice-President Strategy and Planning, Royal Dutch Shell.
- B2B conferences & exhibitions covering oil and gas, clean energy, energy trading and smart grids will enhance opportunities for energy companies to showcase latest solutions and offerings.
- Networking receptions and online business-matching systems will enable delegates to strengthen existing relationships and foster new contacts.
Now in its fifth year, SIEW has established itself as the event of choice that brings together key groups of the energy community from policy makers, commercial leaders to academics to address pertinent energy issues. Through a unique combination of platforms that encourage high level dialogue and commercial business development, SIEW acts as the catalyst to facilitate energy conversations across the entire sector.
SIEW, Singapore's flagship energy event, is organised by the Singapore Energy Market Authority (EMA), a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade & Industry.
