Singapore signed two energy-related Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) with Cambodia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on the sidelines of the Singapore International Energy Week on Monday to strengthen partnerships in the energy sector.
Mr. S. Iswaran, Minister in the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister for Home Affairs and Trade & Industry, signed the agreement with Cambodia with Dr. Cham Prasidh, Senior Minister and Minister of Industry, Mines and Energy.
Mr. Suhail bin Mohamed Faraj Fares Al Mazrouei, Minister of Energy, was the signatory for the United Arab Emirates.
The first project involves training 60 Cambodian energy officials in electrical safety systems, including helping them to develop standards on electrical wiring and safety for buildings and households in Cambodia.
