Highlights from Youth@SIEW

This year, Youth@SIEW continued its engagement with tertiary students and educators on the latest energy trends and career opportunities in the energy sector, in a bid to nurture the next generation of energy sector leaders.

The event was opened by Ms Low Yen Ling, Minister of State for Trade and Industry & for Culture, Community and Youth, who encouraged the youths present to channel their innovation towards creative solutions that help build a resilient and secure energy future.

The Energy-Industry Scholarship Award was presented to the up-and-coming youths who have displayed earnest passion in solving energy problems and advancing Singapore’s progress towards its climate goals.

The Singapore Energy Grand Challenge (Youth) saw groups of students devise a myriad of innovative solutions to achieve a more sustainable Singapore.

Vincent Lau, Chief Technology Officer of Pylon City, also gave a sharing on innovations for greener and more sustainable cities.
