CEPSI: Empowering the Energy Transition
Held in conjunction with SIEW 2025, the 25th Conference of Electric Power Supply Industry (CEPSI) brought together energy professionals, policymakers and industry leaders to discuss grid innovation, low-carbon strategies, artificial intelligence (AI) in energy, sustainable generation and financing.
In his Opening Address, H.E. Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-Charge of Energy and Science & Technology, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Republic of Singapore, highlighted the role of power grids in driving the energy transition. He said that Singapore is focusing on three key priorities to future-proof the country's grid: inter-connectivity, resilience, and flexibility.
H.E. Dr Tan also shared his perspective on how regional power grids can help ASEAN nations to maximise the region’s diverse renewable energy potential and strengthen grid resilience through mutual support.
