The Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) is an annual platform for energy professionals, policymakers and commentators to discuss and share best practices and solutions within the global energy space. First held in 2008, the Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) has brought together more than 180,000 energy players from over 80 countries to discuss energy issues shaping the industry.
For 2020, SIEW was held both physically and virtually for the first time given the restrictions due to the global pandemic. While the format was different, the same spirit was unchanged – to provide a platform for collaboration and to generate ideas and solutions that will inspire the world.
SIEW 2020 was Singapore’s first pilot event with up to 250 participants since the global pandemic representing a major step in the safe and gradual resumption of economic activities. SIEW’s hybrid format combined a “live” event with online streaming elements allowing a global audience to engage in a week of discussions.
