It brings together public and private sector stakeholders to share insights and drive the development of reliable, sustainable electricity networks across ASEAN.

Gan Siow Huang, Minister of State, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & Ministry of Trade and Industry, Republic of Singapore, highlighted how Singapore is advancing regional partnerships to support Southeast Asia's energy transition—from the ASEAN Power Grid to strengthening frameworks for cross-border renewable energy certificates.

Singapore-IEA Forum
Bringing together policymakers from the region, international partners and representatives from IEA member countries, this year's Singapore-IEA Forum explored the innovative approaches and forward-looking strategies to secure ASEAN’s energy future.

In his Opening Remarks, H.E. Dr Tan See Leng, Minister for Manpower and Minister-in-Charge of Energy and Science & Technology, Ministry of Trade and Industry, Republic of Singapore, called for stronger collaboration and smarter systems to power Southeast Asia’s energy transition.

Singapore-IRENA High-Level Forum
Global leaders gathered at the 5th Singapore-IRENA High-Level Forum to discuss the theme of “Partnerships for an Interconnected and Renewable Tomorrow”.
  • Opening the Forum, H.E. Dr Tan See Leng spoke about the potential for Southeast Asia to tap on the region's abundant natural resources in the form of solar, wind, geothermal and hydropower. He also outlined Singapore's commitment to regional partnerships and catalysing new projects for cross-border electricity trading.
  • The event featured a high-level Ministerial Dialogue that discussed the policies, regulations, and partnerships needed to unlock investment opportunities that accelerate cross-border energy projects.
