As SIEW 2025 draws to a close today, there’s still more to explore! SIEW Thinktank Roundtable continues with Roundtable C, which will look at the transformative role of AI in advancing cleaner energy initiatives. This year’s Youth@SIEW spotlights the role students can play in shaping Singapore’s energy journey.
 
H.E. Sharon S. Garin, Secretary, Department of Energy, Republic of the Philippines, shared how the Philippine energy sector is advancing infrastructure resilience to ensure energy security, protect communities and address the impact of climate change.

Day 4 Recap
SIEW Thinktank Roundtables
Yesterday's SIEW Thinktank Roundtables showcased the key developments shaping a diverse and resilient energy system in Asia. At the opening of SIEW Thinktank Roundtable A:
  • Mr Jonathan Goh, Director, External Relations, Energy Market Authority of Singapore, emphasised the need to consider sustainability, resilience and affordability in meeting rising demand for energy in Southeast Asia. He noted that Singapore is conducting trials and pilot projects on biomethane and ammonia as energy sources, as well as exploring carbon capture and storage solutions.
  • In his Opening Remarks, Dato' Ir. Ts. Razib Dawood, Executive Director, ASEAN Centre for Energy said that the future of the region's energy security lies with the ASEAN Power Grid (APG). He shared how the launch of a new financing initiative will support the development of the APG and mobilise large-scale financing for cross-border power interconnections.
Singapore-Sweden Forum
The inaugural Singapore-Sweden Forum at SIEW 2025 put the spotlight on hydrogen and clean fuels, smart grids, energy efficiency, cross-border connectivity and innovative technologies from startups. The panel discussion also brought together perspectives from government agencies, industry players and technology experts, focusing on the infrastructure, policy, and cross-border collaboration needed to advance deployment of low-carbon energy solutions.
