SIEW 2024: Igniting Dialogues on Global Energy Transformation

Singapore, 4 October 2024 – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry Gan Kim Yong will officially open the 17th Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) with the Singapore Energy Lecture on 21 October 2024. Participants can also hear from Amin Nasser, President & CEO of Aramco, on the world’s need for a stable, orderly and inclusive energy transition, and how the company is harnessing AI, smart technologies, and global partnerships to shape the future of the energy landscape.

2.        As SIEW 2024 prepares to open its doors, participants can anticipate a week of engaging conversations centred on "A Connected and Sustainable Energy World". Attendees can expect to delve into key topics such as international energy partnerships, groundbreaking technologies, and innovative funding strategies. SIEW 2024 promises a unique platform for exploring policy alignment, fostering cross-border collaborations, and addressing urgent global energy challenges. Through a series of high-level discussions, networking opportunities, and thought-provoking sessions, participants will gain invaluable insights into shaping the future of global energy. This convergence of industry leaders and policymakers aims to catalyse new ideas, forge strategic alliances, and realise the vision for a more sustainable and interconnected global energy landscape.

Key Highlights of SIEW 2024

3.         Singapore and the International Energy Agency (IEA) will formally open the IEA Regional Cooperation Centre in Singapore on 21 October 2024, marking the IEA’s first office outside Paris.

4.         The highly anticipated SIEW Energy Showcase will showcase innovative energy solutions, groundbreaking technologies and visionary concepts, highlighting Singapore and the region’s energy transition efforts towards net zero.
