Mr Ngiam Shih Chun is the Chief Executive of the Energy Market Authority, which ensures a reliable and secure energy supply, promotes effective competition in the energy market, and develops a dynamic energy sector in Singapore.Mr Ngiam was formerly the Deputy Secretary (Industry) at the Ministry of Trade and Industry from 2012 to 2018 where he helped shape Singapore’s industrial and economic policies. In 2016, he co-led the Secretariat for the Committee on the Future Economy to develop key strategies to generate economic growth and create good jobs for Singaporeans.He has held various appointments in the Emeritus Senior Minister's Office, the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports and Ministry of Home Affairs. Mr Ngiam is currently a board member of the Energy Market Authority, Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore and St Andrew’s Community Services.He holds a Master’s degree in Science (Financial Engineering) from National University of Singapore in 2002 and a Master’s degree in Science (Management) from Stanford University, USA, 2006. Mr Ngiam was awarded the Public Administration Medal (Silver) in 2016.
