The 14th edition of Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) is scheduled to take place this 25 – 29 October. The annual flagship event will be organised in a hybrid format, featuring onsite events held at Marina Bay Sands, combined with online streaming for all participants in Singapore and overseas.

SIEW OPENING KEYNOTE ADDRESS & SINGAPORE ENERGY SUMMIT 2021
|
|
Minister for Trade and Industry, Mr Gan Kim Yong, will deliver the SIEW Opening Remarks, followed by the Keynote Address by an energy thought-leader. Next, there will be the Singapore Energy Summit (SES), which facilitates high-level dialogues on energy issues centered on this year’s theme, “Advancing the Energy Transition”. This panel will explore Asia’s role in advancing the energy transition and how global energy players and countries can work together to galvanise our efforts towards sustainability. Opportunities and frameworks needed to accelerate the transition will be discussed.

This panel will discuss how the economy can be restructured to be greener, to accelerate growth and job creation. It will also explore the significance of the green economy and the ways to accelerate the greening of industries, cities, buildings, and transport in the region.
|
|
This session explores the drivers for innovation across the energy sector and how this can facilitate the low carbon energy transition. Low carbon innovations will be explored, along with the various ways needed to harness digitalisation to optimise our energy system and mitigate climate change.
