ADVANCING THE ENERGY TRANSITION
25 OCTOBER – 29 OCTOBER 2021 (MONDAY – FRIDAY)
 
As Asia recovers from the pandemic and rebuilds its economy, the region has a unique opportunity to reset its efforts in advancing the low carbon energy transition. Organised by the Energy Market Authority (EMA), Singapore International Energy Week (SIEW) 2021 will feature Ministerial and Industry CEO speakers who will address key issues in the energy industry, including resetting efforts for the energy transition, restructuring the economy for greener growth and reinventing low carbon technologies.
 
Happening this 25 – 29 October, SIEW 2021 will run in a hybrid format at the Marina Bay Sands Expo and Convention Centre with both onsite participants in Singapore and live streaming for online participants from around the world.

The Singapore Energy Summit (SES) facilitates high-level dialogue on energy issues centered on this year’s theme, “Advancing the Energy Transition”. It will feature expert views and insights on the energy transformation in ASEAN, diving into the opportunities and challenges in energy investment, innovation and integration.
 
This panel will explore Asia’s role in advancing the energy transition and how global energy players and countries can work together to galvanise our efforts towards sustainability. Opportunities and frameworks needed to accelerate the transition will be discussed.
  
This panel will discuss how the economy can be restructured to be greener, to accelerate growth and job creation. It will also explore the significance of the green economy and the ways to accelerate the greening of industries, cities, buildings, and transport in the region.
  
This session explores the drivers for innovation across the energy sector and how this can facilitate the low carbon energy transition. Low carbon innovations will be explored, along with the various ways needed to harness digitalisation to optimise our energy system and mitigate climate change.
