Silvina Aldeco-Martinez shares her views on the pathways for hydrogen to become a key part of the energy mix and how the LNG sector is evolving amid current market disruptions. About Silvina Aldeco-Martinez, Chief Product Officer, S&P Global Platts

Silvina Aldeco-Martinez is Chief Product Officer, S&P Global Platts, a division of S&P Global and the leading global provider of information and benchmarks for the energy and commodity markets. In this role, Silvina is responsible for driving the alignment of product development with Platts’ strategy and ensuring that key exchange and channel partnerships are aligned to client needs and product strategy. Based in London, Silvina is a member of the Platts Executive Committee.

Prior to joining S&P Global Platts, Silvina was the lead in the Investment Banking and Private Equity product management team at S&P Global Market Intelligence, a leading provider of financial and industry data, research, news and analytics to financial professionals, government agencies and corporations. In that capacity Silvina was responsible for business, market and partnership strategy for the Investment Banking and Private Equity client segments globally. Silvina was also responsible for identifying growth opportunities and driving customer centric solutions.

Additionally, Silvina has over fifteen years of experience within credit risk assessment in mature and emerging markets, credit risk related product development, modelling, risk management and client advisory. These include the leadership of the S&P Risk Solution risk management consulting group, as well as eight years of experience as a ratings analyst and team leader for S&P Global Ratings, and developing analytical criteria applicable to Latin American institutions and project finance lending.

Prior to joining S&P Global in 1996, Silvina was an equity research analyst for ABN AMRO’s brokerage house in Argentina. She holds a BSc in Economics from Buenos Aires University. Silvina is fluent in Spanish, English and Portuguese.
