A nuclear energy future promises to be one where countries have a clean and reliable source of energy, strengthening energy security and affordability in countries of adoption. Nuclear energy adoption in Southeast Asia has been cautious but gradually advancing, with several countries exploring civilian nuclear power to meet growing energy demands and climate goals. Most Southeast Asian nations, remain cautious but interested in nuclear energy, balancing energy security needs against safety concerns, high capital costs, and public perception challenges.
