Ms Architrandi Priambodo is a development professional with over 20 years of experience in clean energy and climate change. Her key competencies cover origination, financing and management of clean energy investment and climate change mitigation projects and programs; carbon credit methodology, transactions and greenhouse gas accounting; and policy and regulatory analysis in the power sector.
She currently serves as a senior energy specialist, energy sector office for Pacific and Southeast Asia. Her key roles include (i) origination, preparation and implementation of loan and technical assistance of energy transition power projects and programs covering transmission expansion and upgrades, utility-scale power generation, battery energy storage system, energy efficiency and regional power trade; (ii) development of a carbon credit methodology from early retirement of coal power plants.
Prior joining ADB, Chitra was the Director of Castlerock Consulting in Singapore where she led, managed and delivered over 20 consulting/advisory assignments in energy sector and climate change in Southeast Asia. Her main clients are international finance institutions and donors such Asian Development Bank (ADB) , the World Bank, GIZ, UKCCU, DFID, DFAT, KfW and AFD. Chitra was the director of Asia Carbon Group during the Kyoto Protocol compliance regime, where she led the development of carbon credits from renewable energy projects (run-off river hydro, geothermal, waste-to-energy) under Clean Development Mechanism of Kyoto Protocol.
Chitra earned her mechanical engineering degree from University of Indonesia. She did her Master’s in Energy Technology at Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and Specialized Master of International Project Management at ESCP-EAP, France.
