Giorgio Fortunato
Giorgio has 15 years of experience in the renewable energy and corporate sustainability fields and in his current role he manages power procurement, energy policy, and energy infrastructure development for Google’s data centers in APAC.
Prior to joining Google, Giorgio led the Cleantech advisory arm of Schneider Electric in APAC and before that he worked as an entrepreneur in the offshore wind sector. During his time in China, he co-founded Blue Aspirations, a start-up which designs, manufactures, and commercializes remote sensing technologies for offshore wind and metocean data measurements. Earlier in his career, Giorgio worked for Vestas Wind Systems, where he led business development activities in Southeast Asia and later headed Marketing, Communications, and Government Relations for Asia-Pacific and China. In 2016-2017 Giorgio also served as National Chair for Energy at the European Chamber of Commerce in China.
Giorgio holds a BS and MS in Aerospace Engineering from La Sapienza University of Rome, and a dual-degree EMBA from Tsinghua University and INSEAD.
