DDG Gong Heping is a professor-level senior engineer, an electric power survey and design expert, and a senior resettlement consultant for the World Bank and Asian Development Bank. He has engaged in policy research, standard revision and setting, planning and design, supervision and evaluation, consulting and review, and project evaluation as well as the coordination of major issues of land requisition compensation and resettlement for construction projects. He has been involved in the technical decision-making process for dozens of large hydropower projects, including the Xiaolangdi Water Conservancy Hub, the Shuikou Hydroelectric Project, the Dadu River Waterfall Gorge Hydropower Station, the Xiaowan Hydropower Station on the Lancang River, the Wudongde Hydropower Station in the Jinsha River, the Longtan Hydropower Station, and the Laxiwa Hydropower Station.
