Jisman Hutajulu is an experienced energy policymaker in the field of electricity development in Indonesia. He has worked at Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources for over 30 years, with a focus on regulation, pricing, and business development of electricity sector. He has held various important positions, including Director of Electricity Program Development (2018-2022), Director of Electricity Business Development (2022-2023) and Head of Civil Servant Investigation (PPNS) for Electricity Sector since 2014. In 2023, he was appointed Director General of Electricity at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

As Director General of Electricity, Jisman Hutajulu is responsible for fostering, managing, and overseeing the implementation of electricity development in Indonesia. During his tenure, Jisman Hutajulu has led the implementation and supervision of 35,000 MW of power plants and expansion of power grid in the 2018-2023 period. This program development has increased the national electrification ratio from 98% in 2018 to 99.9% in 2023. Jisman Hutajulu has also improved the quality of electricity services in Indonesia, including by increasing the reliability of electricity supply and keeping Indonesia electricity tariffs affordable. He has led the development of several key electricity regulations, including the Electricity Tariff Regulation and the Electricity Subsidy Regulation since 2000.

Jisman Hutajulu is a dedicated figure in Indonesia electricity sector. He has made a significant contribution to increasing access to electricity for the Indonesian people and improving the quality of electricity services in Indonesia.
