Mr Marlon Apañada is the Southeast Asia Lead of the Global Energy Program at the World Resources Institute (WRI), the global think tank, leading the organization's corporate decarbonization and energy finance portfolios. He is concurrently the regional lead for the Clean Energy Investment Accelerator (CEIA), a public-private partnership active in Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines. Mr. Apañada brings more than 19 years' in-depth experience in the clean energy & sustainability spaces, which includes leading business development and project development of 100+ MWs of successfully commissioned renewable energy projects, advising several Global Fortune 500 companies in their decarbonization roadmaps, and pioneering low-carbon finance practice nationally and regionally. A certified Green Finance Specialist, Mr. Apañada obtained his MBA on Renewables at Berlin University of Applied Sciences and his MBM on Climate Finance at the Berlin School of Economics and Law, both in Berlin, Germany.
