Mr Nick Pittarello, Head of Future Interconnections, Ofgem, is responsible for enabling the connection of new interconnectors to Great Britain.  Currently assessing 7 new interconnector projects and for developing a first-of-a-kind regulatory framework that would apply to offshore hybrid assets (combining both interconnection with offshore wind) Nick is putting in place the regulatory structures that will enable the sharing of renewable energy essential to the net zero vision.  Nick has over 25 years experience in the electricity supply industry including with EON, National Grid Electricity System Operator and Nemo Link (Anglo-Belgian Interconnector) and expertise in interconnector regulation, operation and trading.
