Muzi Zhang is Secretary General of Ecosystem Study Commission for International Rivers (ESCIR) and Division Director of General Affair Division, International Cooperation Department of China Renewable Energy Engineering Institute (CREEI). She has more than 15 years’ work experience working with the industry and government authorities in renewable energy sector. Prior to ESCIR and CREEI, she worked in the Ministry of Commerce and National Energy Administration of China and was deeply involved in Renewable Energy Policy development and research. She also compiled a number of research articles and publications, such as the Technical Publication Series of China-ASEAN Clean Energy Capacity Building Programme, and participated in the preparation of RE policies, such as “12thFive-Year-Plan on New Energy Export Development”. She holds a MSc degree in Water Security from University of Saskatchewan.
