Csaba Lantos is Minister of Energy Hungary since December 1st, 2022.
Csaba Lantos served as member and chairman of several Board of Directions in the financial and business sectors. He currently is Member of the 4iG Plc. Advisory Board and of the Board of Trustees of Kálmán Széll Foundation.
Since 2007 he managed his own investment company Lantos Vagyonkezelő Ltd. focusing primarily on health services and life sciences beside several other investments.
Between 2000 and 2007 Mr Lantos was member of the Board of Directors and deputy CEO of OTP Bank Plc., managing the retail sector.
Between 1989 and 2000 he worked in various senior positions at Creditanstalt Group, first managing the financial securities trading, then directing the investment fund management and after that he became the CEO of CA-IB, the investment bank managing the entire group.
Csaba Lantos started his career at Budapest Bank as a bond trader in 1987.
He is one of the founders of the most prestigious Hungarian scientific award, the Bolyai Prize.
In 2015 Mr Lantos was awarded the André Kostolány prize by BÉT (Budapest Stock Exchange) and in 2017 the Mór Wahrmann Medal by Hungarian Academy of Sciences.
Mr Lantos graduated from Károly Marx University of Economics as an economist-sociologist in 1986.
