Lavan is the Executive Director of Infrastructure Asia, a project facilitation office set up by Enterprise Singapore and the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) to support Asia’s social and economic growth through infrastructure development.
In this role, Lavan works closely with both the private and public sectors in Singapore and the broader region. His focus is on project origination and development to enable more sustainable infrastructure. Infrastructure Asia is dedicated to supporting marginally bankable projects. Through its project facilitation and development efforts, several projects in Southeast Asia have successfully advanced, with some reaching completion.
Lavan has been actively involved in various initiatives on infrastructure financing, including spending over a year at Clifford Capital, a specialist in structured finance solutions. Prior to his appointment at Infrastructure Asia in April 2021, Lavan held various leadership positions at MAS. Notably, he served as the Chief Representative at MAS New York Representative Office, where he concentrated on financial market development.
Lavan graduated with an Honours Degree in Business with a specialisation in Financial Analysis and obtained his MBA (Accountancy) from Nanyang Technological University’s Nanyang Business School.
