Rui Luo is an experienced energy and climate professional, he manages the global energy transition initiative at Bloomberg Philanthropies. Prior to Bloomberg Philanthropies, he led multiple initiatives and programmes in clean energy, industrial energy efficiency and carbon markets. He is experienced in leading and collaborating with diverse teams across philanthropy, inter-governmental, public, and private organisations, including ClimateWorks Foundation’s Energy Transition Initiative, the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM) Secretariat housed in the International Energy Agency (IEA), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and ICF (NASDAQ: ICFI). Rui began his professional career as a carbon credits originator in a European carbon trading firm.
