Ms Valerie Lee is Head of Corporate Affairs, Singapore and Southeast Asia, at Sembcorp Industries. She is responsible for strategic planning, communications and marketing for the energy business in Singapore and Southeast Asia. She also leads the sustainability and CSR pillars in the region.

Ms Lee previously served as General Manager of Sembcorp Power, leading the energy retail business and Sembcorp’s entry as an electricity retailer under the Open Electricity Market. Ms Lee has also undertaken various operational and commercial roles in utilities, waste management, energy trading and market development. She also worked in Singtel and SP Digital where she developed energy solutions.

Ms Lee was conferred a Bachelor’s in Chemical Engineering from University of Michigan (Ann Arbor) and a Master’s in Engineering Management from Duke University. She also volunteers as the chairperson of a community club management committee and also dedicates time as an Environment District Councillor and Town Councillor.
