Weisheng Wang received the Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, in 1996. He is currently a Professor at China Electric Power Research Institute (CEPRI), Beijing, China, with an appointment as the Chief Engineer of CEPRI and the Director of National Key Laboratory of Renewable Energy Grid-Integration. He is a member of IEC TC82-WG3, senior member of IEEE, Chinese Society for Electrical Engineering (CSEE) fellow, China Renewable Energy Society (CRES) fellow, etc. Prof. Wang’s main interests include research and consulting in the field of renewable energy generation and its grid integration. He has published six books and over twenty technical papers.
