Mr. Bratin Roy is the Global Head of Decarbonization at TÜV SÜD group, where he leads the company’s worldwide strategy, operations, and service development in decarbonization area.
With more than 20 years of experience in consulting, auditing, and strategic management, Mr. Roy drives TÜV SÜD’s global initiatives in climate action certification, carbon management, green energy transition, and hydrogen standards development. He represents the organization in international forums and leads efforts to enhance competence, innovation, and investment planning in sustainability services.
Before his current role, he headed TÜV SÜD’s Industry and Sustainability Services across ASEAN, South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa, overseeing four multidisciplinary business units in energy, process industries, and environmental risk management.
Mr. Roy holds a master’s degree in environmental science, a Diploma in Safety Engineering, and an MBA in Public Systems Management specializing in environmental management.
He also serves as the Acting Working Group Chair of Green Finance under the Alliance for Industry Decarbonization (AFID), an initiative of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA).
