Craig Stewart has more than 40 years of experience in the international oil and gas industry, spanning drilling and production operations, project management, and general management across Canada, Europe, the United States, and Southeast Asia. He has held senior leadership roles including President of Ophir Energy/Salamander Energy Indonesia and President & CEO of VICO Indonesia, where he oversaw large-scale operations and development projects. In 2015, he served as President of the Indonesian Petroleum Association, contributing to industry advocacy and collaboration. Born in Canada, Craig holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from the University of Calgary and an MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Since joining MedcoEnergi in 2017 as Senior Vice President International E&P, Craig has led the company’s international growth, expanding its upstream portfolio from Oman, Libya, and Yemen to include Thailand, Vietnam, Tanzania, and Mexico. In addition to his international responsibilities, Craig is spearheading MedcoEnergi’s carbon capture and storage (CCS) initiative, reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainable energy development and energy transition leadership.
