Fabienne Demol was born in 1966 and is married with two children. She holds an Engineer Diploma from the University of Technology of Compiègne and has been working in the energy sector since 1990.
Fabienne has 35 years extensive experience in the energy sector.
She started her carrier as a Gas Turbine instructor and was then responsible for Operation and Maintenance Contracts at Alstom Gas Turbines. After Alstom, Fabienne was the IPP Market Manager of Wärtislä France (Diesel and Gas Engines).
In September 2000, she joined EDF Energies Nouvelles (at that time called SIIF Energies). After a few years of development, Fabienne was appointed Executive Vice-President for International Business Development at EDF Energies Nouvelles, leading a team of senior developers in charge of renewable energy projects (wind, hydro, solar, biomass, biogas, biofuels etc …) in different countries where EDF Energies Nouvelles was developing projects.
At the end of 2013 Fabienne left EDF Energies Nouvelles and co-founded Héléis, a boutique advisor, developing renewable energy projects in emerging markets. In 2014 Héléis got a mandate from EREN to develop and identify projects in which EREN could invest.
Between July 2013 and April 2015 Fabienne was also sitting at the Board of Soitec, a listed company specialized in electronics and concentrated photovoltaic; she was representing BPI France which is a shareholder in Soitec.
Beginning of 2015, Fabienne was appointed Executive Vice-President – Global Head of Business Development and Member of the Executive Committee for Total Eren. She was in charge of supervising all aspects of business development. As such, she developed, together with her team, wind and photovoltaic projects all over the world but mainly in Africa, Asia, Latin & Central America, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Since the acquisition of Total Eren by TotalEnergies in September 2023, Fabienne has been appointed Vice-President of Business Development for Renewable Energies and member of the branch's Management Committee. In this capacity, she leads a team of more than 50 people and the development of onshore renewable projects around the world.
