National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL)
Ron is Laboratory Program Manager for International Programs at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory. In this capacity, he leads NREL’s science and technology and analysis cooperation in support of U.S. government programs and with research institutes, businesses, governments, international agencies, foundations, and other partners with over 80 countries around the world. Ron recently served as executive director of a team of over 60 experts across 10 DOE labs delivering in-depth analytic and technical collaboration with developing countries on advanced energy plans, pilot projects, market enabling policies, and investment mobilization. Along with leading NREL’s International Programs, Ron has served as manager of the lab’s analysis and state and local programs. Prior to joining NREL in 1997, he worked at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency for 11 years on advanced energy and land-use programs and waste management issues.
