At just 27, Soh Ming (苏敏) represents a new generation of automotive leaders redefining Singapore’s mobility landscape. As the Founder and Managing Director of Volt Auto Pte Ltd, the exclusive distributor of Dongfeng Singapore, he brings vision, agility, and a passion for clean innovation to one of the world’s most established industries.

Soh Ming’s career began in sales and business development, with early roles at Grab and PacificLight Power, where he learned the value of customer insight and adaptive strategy. In 2021, he founded Icon Cars Pte Ltd, establishing a strong foothold in Singapore’s automotive retail scene before transitioning to EV distribution with Dongfeng Singapore in 2024. Along the way, he also launched his own e-commerce business (SNOW), honing his entrepreneurial instincts and digital acumen.

Under his leadership, Volt Auto has expanded into a 50-strong team and secured Dongfeng’s authorised distributorship — a milestone that positions the company as a dynamic new player in a market long dominated by legacy brands.

Guided by a Gen Z entrepreneurial mindset and a commitment to sustainability, Soh Ming’s vision is to make electric mobility accessible, aspirational, and homegrown — contributing to a smarter, greener future for Singapore’s drivers.
