Tsukui holds a key position where he formulates energy business strategies and leads the company's global operations.

Tsukui joined Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and started his career with the Power Systems International Operations team in Tokyo. Since then, he has held various leadership positions, driving the business development and commercial operations in various markets such as North America, China, Korea, CIS and Southeast Asia. Notably, from 1996 to 1998 while based in Beijing, he played a pivotal role in overseeing power plant sales which contributed significantly to MHI’s business expansion in China.

From 2006 to 2008, Tsukui led MHI’s international low-BTU gas turbine business, where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of blast furnace gas turbines out of Takasago Machinery Works in Hyogo, Japan. Under his leadership, MHI achieved a majority market share of over 65% for these gas turbines.

From 2011 to 2017, Tsukui was the Vice President of Mitsubishi Power Americas, Inc. based in Lake Mary, Florida. During his stint, his team secured orders for over 40 gas turbines and 15 steam turbines across North America. Most recently, Tsukui has served as the Executive Vice President of Mitsubishi Power, Ltd. and oversaw the sales, marketing and commercial operations of Mitsubishi Power’s global Gas Turbine Combined Cycle (GTCC) business.

Tsukui holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Keio University and enjoys playing golf and long distance running in his free time.
