Mr Tan Jun Jie was appointed Chief Executive Officer of City-OG Gas Energy Services in March 2022.
Mr Tan brings with him more than 14 years of experience across the gas and electricity supply chain, from importation, generation, transmission and distribution, to retailing. Before joining City OG, he held various leadership positions in SP Group and Senoko Energy, covering energy trading and portfolio optimisation, regulatory affairs and sustainable energy solutions.
Mr Tan was a member of the Rule Change Panel and Technical Working Group that reviews the market rules of the Singapore Wholesale Electricity Market. He was the Singapore representative in the ASEAN Power Grid Consultative Committee and Heads of ASEAN Power Utilities/Authorities (HAPUA) Policy Studies and Commercial Development working groups, looking at trading energy via regional grids. He is currently serving as a Shipper Representative in the Code Modification Panel under Singapore’s Gas Network Code.
A Nanyang Technological University graduate with 2nd Upper Class Honors in Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering, and double Minors in Business and Entrepreneurship. Mr Tan was awarded Dean’s Honors List for his Master of Science in Financial Engineering from Nanyang Business School with a Certificate in Computational Finance from Carnegie Mellon University. He obtained the Energy Risk Professional (ERP), Financial Risk Manager (FRM) designations from Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP) in 2014, and the Professional Risk Manager (PRM) designation from Professional Risk Managers’ International Association (PRMIA) in 2011.
