Andrew Nicholls is the General Manager of Carbon Capture & Storage (CCS) at Woodside Energy, based in Perth, Western Australia. In this role, Andrew spearheads Woodside’s portfolio of CCS opportunities and works closely with customers and industry to enable the full CCS value chain, from source to sink.

 Prior to his current role, Andrew served as Head of New Energy Supply Development for APAC, a position he assumed following the 2022 merger with BHP Petroleum. With a background in project management and engineering, Andrew has extensive industry experience holding Joint Venture roles on several of Australia’s largest energy developments including Scarborough, North West Shelf, and Bass Strait and has also planned and delivered capital projects for BHP.

 Andrew holds a Master of Business Administration from The University of Western Australia and a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Curtin University.
