Dr. Poh Seng LEE is an Associate Professor with the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS). He serves as the Executive Director of the Energy Studies Institute (ESI), an energy policy think tank, at the National University of Singapore (NUS), the Co-Director of the Singapore Energy Centre (SgEC) and the Director of the Centre for Energy Research & Technology (CERT). Prof. Lee is also a member of the University Sustainability and Climate Action Council (USCAC). His research interests include high-efficiency data centre cooling techniques (in particular single and two-phase microchannel cooling), energy-efficient air conditioning and sustainable data centre. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), the Energy Institute (EI) and the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES). Prof Lee is passionate about translating R&D outcomes into innovations & enterprises and have founded CoolestDC Pte Ltd to commercialise his group’s liquid cooling solutions for sustainable tropical data centres.
