Andrii Gritsevskyi is Energy Systems Analyst in the Planning & Economic Studies Section of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) where his work is focused on developing and providing Member States analytical tools and information on energy systems issues including nuclear power, sustainable energy development and the role of different energy supply and demand options, with particular emphasis on capacity building in energy-environment planning in developing countries. Dr Gritsevskyi is also responsible for the preparation of Energy, Electricity and Nuclear Power Estimates for the Period up to 2050, the Agency’s annual publication with a focus on providing reliable estimates of energy, electricity and nuclear power trends up to the year 2050.
Prior to joining IAEA, Mr Gritsevskyi worked as Senior Researcher at the Institute of Cybernetics in the field of System Dynamics, Operational Research and Complex Systems Analysis. In 1994, he joined the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis (IIASA) in Laxenburg, Austria, as Research Scholar and worked in the field of Energy Systems Modelling and Technological Change. Andrii holds a PhD in Applied Mathematics and Computer Science from the Institute of Cybernetics, Ukrainian Academy of Science.
