Net Zero Pathways

Amanda Wormald is the Branch Head for Net Zero Pathways in the International Climate and Energy Division at the Australian Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water. Her team is responsible for climate and energy policy in Southeast Asia, Europe, the Americas and the G20, as well as leading Australia’s strategic engagement with the International Energy Agency and supporting our new role as co-Chair of the NDC Partnership with Brazil. With more than a decade of experience in the public service, she has worked across areas including industry and economic policy, science and research. critical minerals, and international trade. From 2023-2025, she served as the first DCCEEW Counsellor for Climate and Energy at the Australian Embassy in Washington DC.
