As Energy & Utilities Field CTO at Cohere, Johnny Nguyen brings more than 25 years of enterprise technology experience to the challenge of AI transformation in the energy sector. A career that began in software engineering at IBM and advanced through senior architecture roles at Hewlett Packard and Oracle now finds him shaping how the industry's largest operators adopt and scale AI. He holds a B.S. in Applied Mathematics from UCLA and an MBA from Texas A&M's Mays Business School, and cofounded the Houston Energy AI Users Group (houstonenergy.ai) to accelerate that mission across the broader community.
