Mr Law is the Managing Director of CLP Power Hong Kong and a member of the CLP Group Executive Committee. He holds overall responsibility for the operations of CLP's Hong Kong regulated business, which includes a vertically integrated electricity utility serving over 6 million people in Kowloon, the New Territories and most of the outlying islands.
Mr Law was in the banking industry before joining CLP in 2001. He was the Chief Operating Officer of CLP Power from 2021 and the Managing Director – China of CLP Holdings from 2022 to 2023, responsible for overseeing CLP’s business in Mainland China. His experience in the energy business spans from finance, renewable energy development, fuel procurement, strategic planning, commercial development, operations, digital transformation and customer services.
Mr Law is the President of the Association of the Electricity Supply Industry of East Asia and the Western Pacific (AESIEAP). In addition, he is the Vice Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Vice Chairman of its Real Estate and Infrastructure Committee. He is also a member of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and a member of the Hong Kong Professionals and Senior Executives Association. He also serves as the Chairman of the Finance Committee and a School Council member for the Beacon Hill School as well as a member of the Local Advisory Committee of the Division of Environment and Sustainability for Hong Kong University of Science and Technology.
Mr Law holds an MBA degree in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Accounting from the University of British Columbia. He is currently an Adjunct Fellow of Hong Kong Institution of Engineers as well as a Fellow of the Energy Institute. He is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst.
