Sankaranarayanan (“Shanky”) Viswanathan is a global business innovation leader, enterprise futurist, and venture builder focused on helping organizations reimagine growth in an era defined by Artificial Intelligence and exponential technologies.

As Vice President and Head of Business Innovation in the Corporate Technology Office at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), he works with CEOs, boards, and senior business leaders worldwide to identify emerging opportunities, architect new business models, and transform breakthrough technologies into scalable business value. His work spans AI, the future of knowledge work, sustainability-led transformation, and next-generation digital ecosystems.

Shanky leads TCS’ business innovation and intrapreneurship agenda, has incubated and scaled multiple strategic growth bets and built intellectual property and new business capabilities that shape future markets. Bringing together the mindset of a venture investor, the discipline of an operator, and the perspective of a strategist, he helps organizations move beyond digital transformation toward business reinvention.

Over a career spanning three decades, he has advised global enterprises across industries on navigating disruption, accelerating innovation, and building future-ready organizations.

Shanky holds a Master’s degree in Computer Science & Engineering and is named on multiple patents in technology-enabled business solutions. Outside of work, he is a passionate barefoot runner, a trained Carnatic percussionist, and an avid student of cinema.
