Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz

Tengku Muhammad Taufik is the President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS). He holds a Bachelor of Arts (Honours) Degree in Finance & Accounting from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) and a Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).

Tengku Taufik was appointed President and Group CEO of PETRONAS in July 2020, and is responsible for the formulation, direction and implementation of key strategies for Malaysia’s sole Fortune 500 global organisation.

In addition to his responsibilities as President and Group CEO of PETRONAS, he has served as an Executive Director of its Board since 2018. He presently chairs PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, PETRONAS Carigali International Ventures Sdn Bhd and Gentari Sdn Bhd. 

Over and above his responsibilities in the PETRONAS Group, Tengku Taufik is also the Chairman of the National Trust Fund, a Co-Chair of the World Economic Forum Oil & Gas Governors Community and a Council Member of the Malaysia-Thailand Joint Authority.
