Organiser Royal Norwegian Embassy, Innovation Norway & DNV GL
Date 30 Jan 2014, 13:00 - 05:30 hrs
Venue Sand Expo and Convention Centre, MBS Singapore

The rapid economic growth in Asia is highly dependent on an increased supply of energy. While common access to affordable and reliable electricity is a prerequisite for prosperity growth, there are substantial economic, political and not at least environmental challenges associated with energy supply and distribution.

New technology trend opens for new solutions to these challenges; the objective of this workshop is to bridge Norwegian expertise within maritime transport, natural gas and electricity to challenges and opportunities in the evolving Asian energy markets.

This event is focusing on two of the most relevant energy topics debated in Asia today at two scales:

  • LNG emerging as a major energy carrier on regional and national scale
  • Deployment of renewable energy for rural electrification on micro-scale level.

Get the latest from the development of gas and LNG markets in Singapore from our leading experts.

Learn about micro-scale/meso-scale off-grid electrification concept utilizing the newest technology within renewable energy; storage and energy system integration.

Highlights include key note Oliver Tonby, Managing Partner McKinsey Singapore, Ms Hilde Nafstad, President Statoil Asia Pacific and other exciting speakers.

The event is by invitation only, and we expect an audience of about 100 leading governmental policy makers; industries and academia within the South and South East Asia countries.
