The overarching theme of Shell Innovation Open House Asia is “Getting It Right for Asia”. It will bring together local, regional and global leaders and experts to discuss topics on technology and partnerships and integration; energy security; cleaner and greener solutions for urbanisation. There will be exciting presentations, panel discussions, interactive exhibitions on the development opportunities in the region through innovation, which are not only technology-driven but dependent on human capital, infrastructure, regulatory and policy support and collaboration.

Shell is also the leading international oil company (IOC) for integrated gas, which comprises Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) and Gas To Liquids (GTL). We hold the largest equity share of LNG capacity among IOCs. Shell is a LNG pioneer, with 50 years of expertise in LNG. Floating LNG is the latest in line of Shell achievements in developing new technologies for the oil and gas industry, reinforcing our leadership in technology and innovation that adds value. We have been developing GTL technology since the 1970s, and built the world’s first commercial GTL plant in Bintulu, Malaysia in 1993. In 2011, we started production at the world’s largest GTL plant, Pearl, in Qatar.
