The International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) and the Energy Market Authority of Singapore (EMA) cordially invite you to attend our interactive discussion on "Renewable Energy Investments in Southeast Asia".
The renewable energy investment landscape in ASEAN countries has transformed over the past decade as the sector has matured, and the technology, policy and financing options have grown and diversified. However, for the region to reach its target of securing 23% of primary energy from renewable sources by 2025, annual investment in renewables needs to reach USD 27 billion, which represents a ten-fold increase from current levels.
Building on IRENA's report "South-East Asia renewable energy market analysis" and an investors roundtable recently held in Singapore, this event will bring together policy makers, capital providers and renewable energy companies. During the discussion, we will investigate:
- Main regulatory and capital market challenges faced by investors in renewables in ASEAN, and
- Successful approaches and best practices to attract a great share of private capital.
We look forward to having you join us!
