In the Singapore Energy Lecture, Minister of Trade and Industry, Gan Kim Yong, started the session by sharing Singapore’s plans to advance the transition towards a sustainable energy future.

 

 


H.E. Arifin Tasrif, Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, Republic of Indonesia, followed up by delivering his keynote address on Indonesia’s commitment to meet the ASEAN Plan of Action and Energy Cooperation (APAEC) 2025 targets to enhance energy security and sustainability—working in conjunction with the ASEAN community.

 

 

Carbon capture technologies are poised to play a larger role in driving the decarbonisation of the energy sector. Sharing his thoughts, Joe Blommaert, President, Low Carbon Solutions at ExxonMobil, observed that the broad deployment of low carbon solutions across industries will be necessary to meet the Paris agreement goals.
