Views from SIEW Thinktank Roundtables A, B, C: Leading the Sustainability Push in Energy

The morning sessions of SIEW Thinktank Roundtables put the spotlight on smart grid developments, ASEAN’s energy transition, and the influence of social and behavioural factors on energy demand.

During SIEW Thinktank Roundtable A, Energy Research Institute @ Nanyang Technological University (ERI@N), led discussions on the impact of smart grids on the energy transition. Cherif Assaf, Programme Director at ERI@N shared that consumers can play a role in ensuring energy resilience.

During SIEW Thinktank Roundtable B, the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE) gathered speakers to share their diverse views on ASEAN’s current progress on the energy transition—and how the progress can be accelerated.

By identifying and managing the determinants of energy demand, countries can reduce their emissions and shift towards a sustainable future. SIEW Thinktank Roundtable C, organised by Energy Studies Institute (ESI), dived into the factors influencing energy demand and how policymakers can use them to influence market activities.
