Key takeaways
58 | | SLNG's open-access terminal is crucial for Singapore's energy security. Its multi-user setup allows for a diversified supply chain. This adaptability is crucial in the face of changing global energy patterns. |
40 | | Singapore's energy strategy relies on four main sources: natural gas, solar, regional power grids, and low carbon alternatives. As pipeline gas depletes, SLNG is expanding LNG import capacity to support this strategy. |
29 | | SLNG is cementing Singapore's position as Asia's LNG hub. The company offers services that include storage, reloading, and re-exporting. It also supports regional distribution and maritime LNG bunkering. |
54 | | SLNG's adaptable Command Master Plan enables exploration of low carbon alternatives. The company's expertise equips it to facilitate greener energy options like ammonia, hydrogen, methanol, and biogas, while natural gas remains a regional mainstay. |
46 | | SLNG's proactive decarbonisation efforts span carbon measurement to sustainability reporting. Board-based initiatives include optimising operations and adopting renewables, preparing SLNG for future environmental challenges. |
26 | | LNG plays a dual role as both a transition fuel and a fuel in transition. Its low tailpipe emissions make it a cleaner fossil fuel option. However, LNG's place in the energy mix depends on advancements in renewable energy reliability and storage solutions. |
52 | | SLNG is "catalysing new possibilities in the energy transition". This vision aligns with SIEW 2024's theme. It positions SLNG at the forefront of innovation in sustainable energy solutions. |
