Mr Albert Cheung's research work focuses on digital energy, including smart grids and demand response globally. Mr Cheung also led the research efforts of the BNEF Consortium on Digital Energy throughout 2009-10.

Mr Cheung leads the Energy Smart Technologies practice at Bloomberg New Energy Finance, the world's leading provider of industry information and analysis to investors, corporations and governments in clean energy, low carbon technologies and the carbon markets. The EST team, consisting of analysts and researchers around the globe, produces in-depth research and analysis on emerging technologies such as the smart grid, energy storage, green buildings, energy efficiency, advanced vehicles and fuel cells. His own research work is focused on digital energy, including smart grids and demand response globally. Mr Cheung also led the research efforts of the BNEF Consortium on Digital Energy throughout 2009-10. He previously worked as a consultant at Booz & Co, and studied for his Masters for Eng in Electrical & Information Engineering at the University of Cambridge and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
