Alistair Wells
Mr Alistair Well has considerable technical, project management and senior management experience in a number of sectors including infrastructure, heavy industry, telecommunications and energy utilities. Common to his work in all these sectors has been the design, delivery and support of mission-critical IT and real-time control systems.
Mr Wells manages the Network Management Solutions (NMS) business within Alstom Grid, delivering and supporting control centre IT, telecommunications and Smart Grid solutions to utilities in East Asia Pacific. NMS customers include transmission and distribution network operators, generation utilities and energy market operators. Mr Wells first joined Alstom in 1992. He has extensive international experience, having lived and worked in New Zealand, Australia, Germany and the US. He is currently responsible for teams located in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
During his 16 years with Alstom, Mr Wells has managed the successful delivery of advanced energy management systems to Australasian customers. He has worked at Alstom's R&D centre in Redmond, US, for two years. His qualifications include a Bachelor of Engineering (Elec) and a Bachelor of Science from the University of Sydney. He has completed several professional development courses.
