A Fellow of the Energy Institute, Mr David DB Morrison is well sought-after in many reputable energy events around the world. Additionally, he plays an advisory role to board and senior executive level of international oil companies, governments and national oil companies. He is especially valued for his strategic counsel regarding fiscal terms, industry competition, market regulation and energy policy.
Mr Morrison joined Wood Mackenzie in 1976 and became a partner in 1984. He is currently the Chairman of Wood Mackenzie's energy practice. He plays an advisory role to board and senior executive level of international oil companies, governments and national oil companies. Some of the national oil companies that he works closely with include ADNOC, INPEX Corporation, KNOC, KUFPEC, PERTAMINA, PETRONAS, PTT, Qatar Petroleum, Saudi Aramco, Sinopec, Sonatrach and Statoil. With almost four decades of experience in the energy industry, he is well-versed in international issues such as external growth options and strategies, as well as domestic issues such as regulation and pricing. Mr Morrison is especially valued for his strategic counsel regarding fiscal terms, industry competition, market regulation and energy policy. He graduated in Applied Mathematics from St Andrews University and subsequently qualified as an airline pilot with British Airways.
