Mr Michael Fredskov Christiansen believes the bio-ethanol industry is a good option for mankind and the right way to a green future. He is responsible for business platform building up and high-level stakeholder engagement, striving to open new doors for Novozymes' business development, especially the commercialisation of advanced biofuels.
Based in Beijing, Mr Christiansen is responsible for business platform building up and high-level stakeholder engagement, striving to open new doors for Novozymes' business development, especially the commercialisation of advanced biofuels. Novozymes is the largest industrial enzyme and microorganism producer in the world and has had a China presence since 1995, working with the government, industry partners and academia for the build-up of bio-energy platform and envisioning a bio-based society for a sustainable, clean and self-sufficient living and working model.
Mr Christiansen is one of the founding staff of Novozymes China since 1996. He started off as a professional in a prestigious multinational consulting firm in Copenhagen, Denmark, before joining Novozymes and moving to Asia afterwards. He is a Board Member for Hongda Enzyme Ltd and the Western Academy of Beijing, and has served as treasurer for the EU Chamber of Commerce to China. He is a proactive enabler in bridging business and trade exchanges between China and Denmark.
